I am seeing my mother on Sunday and therefore need to have finished her birthday present by then. Her birthday was over a week ago, and I would probably have finished it by then if I hadn't back to rip back three-quarters of one cardigan front and half of the other. But not seeing her until today gave me the extra time to reknit. Anyway, all I need to do now is sew in ends, sew it up and knit the edging. Then I can wrap it ready to take with me on Sunday. I should be able to do that, or most of it, today as I have a day off work.
So I am sitting here, busy knitting this.
Does anyone else do this? Have a deadline to finish a project, one that can be attained quite reasonably, but instead of getting on with it you find you're doing something entirely different.
Oh well, it's still early. There will be time to
finish the sock work on the cardigan this afternoon.
Whilst I don't craft like you do, I do suffer from a similar form of procrastination. I don't know why I do it but it drives me mad!
