If I don't take the plunge back into blogging, it might never happen, so here I am. Please don't expect anything thrillingly exciting.
Yesterday I returned home with a large tote of cooking apples from my parents' well-laden tree. This morning, I chopped a baker 's dozen of them and stewed them with a generous handful of dried cranberries. I usually add sultanas, but seem to have run out of those. The cranberries give a slight pink tinge to the stewed fruit and the result is delicious, hot or cold.
I froze some in portions in ramekins and have a bowlful in the fridge for consumption tomorrow - or perhaps this evening.

ReplyDeleteI felt that about my blog, which is why I now try to post as often as I can, even if I feel that I have nothing to say. I figure that I enjoy reading about the minutae of other people's lives so they must like reading about mine!
I certainly enjoy reading about your life :)
ReplyDeleteIs there anyway I can get a portion of that?! It sounds incredible!!! xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Zoe - I'll probably be making a fresh lot tomorrow :)
